Birds Portchmouth Russum collaborating with Farrells on new masterplan for Folkestone seafront

This week both BD and AJ carried news items on the scheme, which is being led by Farrells.  Birds Portchmouth Russum have been collaborating with Farrells in the development of the masterplan and with the design of the individual house types, along with FAT and Panter Hudspith, to maximise the variety and invention presented in the masterplan. Work progressing well on Downley House

The scaffolding has been struck, revealing the form of the house beneath. When complete, the Northwest corner will be embedded in the hillside and the garage will be buried.  With climbing plants and sedum roofs the house will appear well integrated into the landscape.

We visited the show on the weekend and it feels like one of the strongest in years.  Many thanks to Piers Gough and Alan Stanton for putting it together.

The show is on until the 15th of August - go and see it if you can!
