Imperial War Museum for the North, Manchester

The Imperial War Museum is conceived as a landscape rising from the site edges juxtaposed with an abstracted ensemble of “dry dock and wharf building’ adjacent to the Manchester Ship Canal. The ensemble reflects the immense power of man and technology this century resulting in an unprecedented scale of war..The museum provides 8000 sq.m of space for permanent and changing exhibition, educational, retail and café facilities.
