BPR were commissioned by Dorma ironmongers
to design a series of handles which were first displayed
at the Commonwealth Institute. The ‘Mitten’
combined the lock and handle into a sculptural element.
The ‘Paddle’ explores folding perforated stainless
steel plate.. The ‘spin-dal’ explores the
potential of extending the lock spindle. The exhibition
stand is presented as a ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’
displaying concepts and manufacture.
