Croydon The Future
A peripheral linear park incorporating
the new tramway is introduced to extend around the town
centre and link the car parks. Wellesley Road, at present
a devisive highway, is transformed into a ‘Central
Park’ overlooked by a new ‘Millenium Tower’.
The existing carparks are crowned by lightweight / inflatable
structures which stage spectacular public events and wil
revitalize and give identiy to Croydon.
